the Basket

The Basket is a low budget cultural project. The structure is externalized in order to use that unavoidable part of the budget also to get an identity to this building built to help a slowly growing community of designers and makers to solidify its presence in Saudi Arabia. The structure is woven, like a basket, to unite together its inhabitants and be a sign to the City. The structure is higher than the program to give it the necessary impact and presence. In the empty upper floor, a common space for exhibition and happening, is created, at almost no cost.
