Novotel & Ibis Hotels

This 120-room hotel has been designed on a plot with two long elevations. Two rows of rooms leave courtyards cores in the center of the plot. The double-height ground floor is a steel structure on which the stacks of grouped hotel rooms stand, cantilevered.
The project is designed as two long elements with lobbies/patios in between. Rooms are grouped by three within a box, boxes are assembled like bricks with three variations of position and angle. This create a animated pattern of volume toward the surrounding streets and the inner courtyards, while providing shade to the rooms.
