E5 Vertical Villas

In a competitive real-estate market, architectural identity has become paramount. 
The look of a volume must be shaped to reflect the intended lifestyle, permitting potential buyers to imagine themselves enjoying a better life in their future home.
Inserted like blades into the steep cliff, the E5 vertical villas project their distinctive E-shaped forms towards the city.
The scope of this project was to build 16 apartments on a pine covered hill above Beirut, known for its high-end villas. At the risk of displeasing the jury, we opted for five individual vertical blade villas, with multiple gardens. As a result we were able to preserve half of the existing, century-old pines and responded to the collectively desired program of high quality villas in this area, while proving that the financial outcome would be greater.
