Wall House
The wall house is 5.5 meters wide and 28 meters long, giving it a very light footprint on its sloped site in Baskinta. Its peculiar geometry allows to have a view towards the valley from each room of the house. A blind back elevation ensures privacy from the surrounding neighbors, while a large deck and pool benefit from the great view towards the valley.
A metallic structure, installed on the front facade of the building allows to attach a demountable shading system, making the house adaptable to the different seasons. During summer, the shades protect the interior from the heat and offer a considerable outdoor extension to the house. In winter, when demounted, daylight and sunlight go into the deepest corner of the house, thanks to its narrowness, providing warmth and ensuring natural light.
A cross ventilation system is created by placing small windows on the back elevation at a high level, ensuring a continuous ventilation inside the house in all seasons.
