Big-Voxel
Big Voxel is a very large 3D printer for furniture scale production from local recycled plastics and clay. It can print objects of 1.6x1.8x1.2m.
From structure, to linear motion, printing head and software, Big Voxel has been created as a rugged machine for developing countries. Its goal is to allow the creation of large objects with a relatively good finish that can be further worked out by hand. We believe that the mass of plastic to be recycled and the complete scale change of plastic industry will lead to a new local craftmanship in plastics. Local handicraft will produce, tables, chairs, canoes, bathtubs, from local recycled plastic, according to custom demands from local customers.
