Situated in the picturesque region of Salima, Lebanon, this architectural project features a distinctive home that is nestled beneath a dramatic roof. The design fosters transitional spaces that create a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor environments, framed by a lightweight, exposed structure, embodying the concept of a "small house within a big house."
Elevated on a steep slope, the home serves as a springboard to breathtaking valley views while providing several advantages, including effective moisture management, minimal land disruption, and reduced foundation construction. This house integrates a variety of sustainable features aimed at enhancing energy efficiency and comfort. It features a solid thermal core built from locally sourced bricks, photovoltaic panels for energy production, and a South-North orientation that facilitates natural cross ventilation.
